Exhibit Displayed at Sonoma State University- March, 2020
The program at Sonoma State University was designed to be part of the university’s annual Social Justice Week. Our exhibit and program were arranged with the cooperation of Peter Phillips, professor of political sociology, and Fred Ptucha from Veterans for Peace Chapter 71. We are fortunate that the program was live-streamed since this was the early stages of COVID-19 and attendance was down that week.
Co-editors Ron Carver and Barbara Doherty spoke on The Power of the GI Movement. A second panel was titled “What Is the Price We Pay for Perpetual War?” This panel included Veterans for Peace members Susan Lamont, Tom Meier, Fred Ptucha, and Peter Tracy.
