Marquette University Hosts Waging Peace in Vietnam Exhibit - April, 2024
The U.S. Soldiers and Veterans Who Opposed the War exhibit was available for viewing to visitors at Marquette University in the Raynor Memorial Library from April 2 - April 17, 2024.
The exhibit kicked off with panel discussions entitled “Soldiers in Revolt” and “Healing War’s Legacies”.
Film screenings of the documentaries “Sir! No Sir!” and “Hunting in Wartime” were made available online as well as a live streamed concert of artist Vân-Ánh Vanessa Võ followed by her starring role in the documentary “The Whistleblower of My Lai.”
Additionally, author Le Ly Hayslip visited for a book talk and signing related to her memoir “When Heaven and Earth Changed Places.”
Finally, an essay contest challenged students to reflect on their experience viewing the exhibit.
