The exhibit opened at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs on Veterans Day. The opening reception and an all-day symposium were featured on C-SPAN.

Hersh; Iraq War Resister Navy Petty Officer Jonathan W. Hutto, Sr., author of Anti-War Soldier: How to Dissent Within the Ranks of the Military; Vietnam War resister Lt. Susan Schnall; and Vietnam War combat resister William Short.

A week-long program accompanying the exhibit included a film festival, a poetry workshop, a reenactment of the iconic legal case concerning soldiers’ rights to dissent, Cortright v. Resor, and a forum on the 1969 Moratorium and Mobilization marches organized by the Vietnam Peace Commemoration Committee. A candlelight march to the White House recalled the November 15, 1969, March Against Death.
