War Remnants Museum,
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
March 19, 2018 through April 15, 2018
During America’s War in Vietnam, tens of thousands of American GIs and veterans opposed the war. They marched, refused to fight, and they deserted. They wrote and distributed hundreds of thousands of underground newspapers telling the truth about this unjust war. The Waging Peace exhibit preserves and promotes this little known history.
This website www.wagingpeaceinvietnam.com will strive to be a one-stop location for all information concerning the GIs who opposed America’s war in Vietnam. We will alert you to future locations of the Waging Peace exhibit. And we will provide links to all of the books, articles, poetry, photographs and documentary films concerning this movement.
Ho Chi Minh City exhibition recalls how American GIs organised protests, published underground newspapers and served jail time in their efforts to bring peace to Southeast Asia
HCM CITY –A special exhibition titled “Waging Peace – US Soldiers and Veterans Who Opposed America’s War in Việt Nam” opened on Monday at the HCM City War Remnants Museum.
