Purposes

To examine the history and impact of resistance to the American war in Vietnam by U.S. soldiers and veterans, including U.S. POWs in Vietnam, and to consider how the resistance of Vietnamese liberation forces interacted with the antiwar movement in the United States to bring an end to the war.
To review and encourage continued Vietnamese-American cooperation in addressing the remaining legacies of the war resulting from Agent Orange and unexploded ordnance and to consider and support ongoing efforts to build long-lasting peace and friendship between our two nations.
